SEVEN BROKEN CURSES

In Genesis 3, after the fall, God reveals the consequences of sin over humanity and creation.

These consequences were not only spiritual; they affected the human body, relationships, work,

the land, and humanity’s final destiny. Scripture reveals seven clear areas where the curse took

hold, shaping the human experience from Eden forward. In this series, we explore a central truth

of the gospel: Christ did not only die for sin—He carried every dimension of the curse in His

body in order to redeem it. The seven curses include:

Spiritual separation and hostility toward God

  • Human pain and the loss of wholeness

  • Distorted relationships

  • Work marked by fatigue and frustration

  • The land subjected to resistance and barrenness

  • Broken human authority

  • Death as the inevitable outcome

These curses did not remain abstract theological ideas. They manifested physically in the body of

Christ on the cross—in His head, His hands, His feet, His side, His sweat, His blood, and ultima-

tely, in His death. Throughout the series, we discover: How each curse originates in Genesis.

How each one connects to a specific wound in the body of Christ. How the cross directly answers what was lost in Eden. How Christ’s redemption is complete—spirit, soul, body, and creation

How this truth reshapes the way we live, walk, and exercise authority today. This exploration is not merely symbolic; it is revelational and practical. It helps us understand that the cross was not an isolated event, but the moment where God confronted the root of every curse and opened the way to a restored life. As we uncover the seven curses in the body of Christ, we also uncover our calling: to walk as redeemed sons and daughters, with restored authority, in a creation that is still waiting for the full manifestation of that redemption.
